Hurtigruten has announced that the celebrated MS Finnmarken, which has been chartered in Australia for two years, has returned to sail the Norwegian Coast beginning February 16, 2012. As one of the operator’s newest and largest ships, she will sail the traditional coastal voyage route from Bergen to Kirkenes.

THE SHIP HAS UNDERGONE A THOROUGH REFURBISHMENT

MS Finnmarken has undergone a thorough refurbishment and is in peak condition as she resumes services for Hurtigruten. MS Finnmarken is one of the favorite ships among Hurtigruten guests. She is the only ship with both a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi on deck. A special feature on the MS Finnmarken is the bow, and you can actually go from deck 5 all the way to the tip. The ship is beautifully appointed and decorated in an Art Nouveau style. The ship was built in Ulsteinvik in Norway and has been part of the Hurtigruten fleet since 2002.
