Ushuaia Escondido Lake incl. BBQ Lunch

Enter among the mountains and valleys of the "Island."

Highlights

Heading north you will leave the coast of the Beagle Channel and enter among the mountains and valleys of “the Island.”  After crossing the first range, stop at the view point of Carbajal Valley, from where you will be able to see rugged, pointy mountains, partly covered with snow or glaciers. Driving towards Lake Escondido, you start the ascent to reach Garibaldi pass. At the pass, you are going to cross the Andes on foot along the old road. This walk will give you the chance to get to a magnificent view point from where we will see Lake Escondido and the huge Lake Fagnano with more than 62 miles in length. Enjoying the pure air and the peace of one of the most pristine areas in the entire world, you hike downhill for about 45 minutes. After the walk lunch at “Las Cotorras” a typical wooden Patagonic restaurant where you will be offered the famous Fuegian lamb roasted vertically on the iron cross (asador). Return and transfer directly to the pier.
