This trek offers splendid views of the thick forest of Lengas.
Leaving the airport, you drive north-east to Reserva Natural Tierra Mayor, a protected reserve, located in the foothills of the Alvear mountain range. The two-hour trek commences at the Nunatak shelter, offering a splendid view of the thick forest of Lengas (the typical tree of the region), and with luck a variety of birds. Crossing ancient peat bogs before reaching the Alvear Mountains and the panoramic viewpoint. During the trek, you learn about the life of the resident beavers. There will be time for individual walks and photos prior to transit back to the pier.NOTE: This is a strenuous tour involving trekking over uneven, unpaved ground for approximately two hours and is therefore unsuitable for those with limited mobility. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and warm clothing, in layers, with a raincoat or waterproof windbreaker, the weather can be changeable. Boggy ground will be encountered. Rubber boots will be provided.
