Dog sledding and other Greenland adventures

Have great adventures in Greenland! Fishing, kayaking, skiing, mountain climbing, biking, hiking, horseback riding and dog sledding are all some of the glorious activities for adventures within Greenland. Expert dog sledding tours are available for tourist. What a great way to take in the scenery!

Dog sledding - exciting and comfortable

You are wrapped up in the warmest sealskin and sitting comfortably on the reindeer skin on the sled while the sun bakes down. The sled moves off and you feel at one with Mother Nature, whilst the dogs happily pant along through the magnificent, snow-covered landscape.

The use of the dogsled is possible only in the area north of the Arctic Circle and in Eastern Greenland. The area is known locally as “The dogsled districts”. Sisimiut and Kangerlussuaq are the two most southerly towns on the west coast from where it is possible to drive dogsleds during the winter and spring. The best months are February, March and April.
