A thousand years ago, commercial fishing operations were carried out in the Vestfjord. Right up until the 1900s, Storvågan was the seat of powerful landowners who built their wealth on the stockfish trade. Our first stop is Galleri Espolin - Norway's largest collection of the works of pictorial artist Kaare Espolin Johnson (1907-1994). The history of art is conveyed in an unforgettable way. There are two permanent exhibition halls and one for changing exhibitions as well as a video room, Espolin room and an art shop.
