• The repeater discount can only be combined with other special offers if this is specifically stated in the respective offers terms and conditions.
• The 10% / 5% repeater discount applies to the voyage price only excluding flights, transfers and excursions
• When combined with an early booking or other discount, the repeater discount is deducted from the early booking/other discount price
• Senior citizen discounts cannot be combined with the repeater discount.
• Cannot be used on tours and voyages from the Hurtigruten Voyages in Search of the Northern Lights Brochure.

5% repeater discount on Explorer Voyages (Antarctica, Greenland, Spitsbergen and other European voyages)
• Applicable to brochure prices, early bookimg prices and group prices
• The repeater discount can only be combined with other special offers if this is specifically stated in the respective offers terms and conditions.
• When combined with an early booking or other discount, the repeater discount is deducted from the early booking/other discount price.
• The 5% repeater discount is deducted from the price as advertised in the brochure. Pre/post and flight packages do not qualify for the repeater discount.
• Cannot be used on tours and voyages from our Voyages in Search of the Northern Lights Brochures.

5% discount on excursions*
Applicable on selected excursions booked on board Norwegian Coastal Voyages.

Free bridge visit*
Only one visit can be made on a Norwegian Coastal Voyage. This is subject to availability and dependant on weather conditions or any other unforeeseen circumstances that for safety reasons make it impossible for the visit to take place. The invitation applies to the membership card holder and to a maximum of one traveling companion.

Three days free bicycle rental*
Only applies to Hurtigruten Classic Norway Voyages (Bergen – Kirkenes – Bergen, Bergen – Kirkenes, Bergen – Kirkenes – Trondheim, Kirkenes – Bergen) and subject to availability. The hire includes a helmet and a lock. The bicycle hire is free for the membership card holder and up to a maximum of one traveling companion

This is optional and can be delivered either by post or by email to the address that the member has registered.

Complimentary fruit basket in your cabin*

*The 1893 Ambassador Member benefits will be provided if the member states their membership number at the time of booking and presents the card upon check in for their voyage. They are valid for cruises of at least three consecutive nights on board. 

2. Conditions

Membership of the 1893 Ambassador Program is available to the following customers who at the time of registration:
• have traveled with us for a minimum of 3 nights on a previous single journey
• are at least 18 years of age
The membership is complimentary. Companies, societies, authorities and employees of Hurtigruten are excluded from becoming members.

3. Registration

The Membership registration is made in writing
• by submitting the application form from the 1893 Ambassador Program registration brochure on board
• by sending the application form from the 1893 Ambassador Program registration brochure to the local Hurtigruten office (see Item 10 “Contact”)
• Online at: www.hurtigruten.us/1893.

Couples who share the same address only need to complete and submit one registration (in both of their names).

To register, use the first and last name of the invoice recipient from your last voyage (for subsequent registration by post or online) or the invoice recipient of your current cruise (for registration on board).

Only one card per household will be issued. Members do not need to apply for a second card for fellow travelers. In the event of loss or damage of your membership card, a free replacement card can be requested (see Item 10 “Contact”).

4. Membership terms and termination

The membership begins as soon as the member receives their membership card in the post. The membership card confirms the membership, which will be sent within four to eight weeks after registration to the postal address provided. The membership and entitlement to associated advantages and services automatically expire if the member fails to complete another Hurtigruten cruise of at least three nights within a period of five years from the date of becoming an 1893 Ambassador member.

The membership is automatically extended for another five years if the member completes another Hurtigruten voyage consisting of a minimum of 3 consecutive nights

The member may at any time terminate the membership without notice which must be done in writing and sent to the local Hurtigruten at the office address shown below (see Item 10 “Contact”).

Hurtigruten may cease to operate the 1893 Ambassador Program at any time with 3 months notice. Publication in the member newsletters, as well as on the homepage, constitutes sufficient notice of termination. The right to extraordinary termination remains unaffected by this.

Hurtigruten is entitled to terminate the membership without notice and without providing reasons in the event that the customer violates the conditions of entry.

5. Transferability and scope

The membership and the associated benefits and services are non-transferrable. The repeater discount as part of the 1893 Ambassador Program only applies to the cardholder named on the membership card and companions who have completed a Hurtigruten cruise of at least three consecutive nights on board.  The 5% discount on selected excursions booked on board Norwegian Coastal Voyages, the invitation to visit the bridge and the free bicycle hire (see Item 1) applies to the cardholder and a maximum of one traveling companion.

6. Validity

The conditions of the 1893 Ambassador Program are applicable from the launch of on July 1, 2010 and apply to Hurtigruten cruises that are booked from  August 13, 2010 at a travel agency in one of the participating countries of Norway, United Kingdom, Germany and from Oct 1, 2010 for US and Canada or directly at a Hurtigruten office in one of the participating countries.

Hurtigruten reserves the right to at any time change the entry conditions, terms and content of the 1893 Ambassador Program. The current version of the conditions of entry can be viewed at: www.hurtigruten.us/1893. 

7. Liability

Liability for services of the 1893 Ambassador Program are based on the cruise contract for the member on board.

There is no entitlement to an equivalent amount in cash for failure to provide or use a service of the 1893 Ambassador Program. If bicycles are unavailable or a visit to the bridge is not possible for any reason, the member is not entitled to any compensation.

8. Data protection declaration

Membership cannot be given if a name, address and date of birth are not given at the time of application. The member accepts that Hurtigruten shall store their personal data and use it to manage their own database of members and for their own communication purposes. Hurtigruten shall not pass on the data to third parties. This excludes passing on address data to mail-order companies who organise Hurtigruten mailing campaigns with Hurtigruten information material. These mail-order companies are prohibited from passing on the data.

9. Cancellation instructions

Members may at any time choose to have their personal data removed after registering for the 1893 Ambassador Program and can cease promotional direct mail or emails being sent. See Item 10 “Contact”.
