MV Polar Star

Built as an icebreaker for the Swedish navy in 1969, MV Polar Star started sailing under the name Njord. In 2001, she underwent a complete conversion into an Arctic expedition cruise ship. She can take no more than 105 passengers, with only 47 exterior cabins on board. Her restaurant and the panoramic lounge are fantastic. All cabins are outside cabins and have their own bathrooms, closets, writing desks, and chairs. MV Polar Star is also equipped with a lecture hall, a small gym, a library, and a bar.
