Your shore excursion begins with a drive to the island of Kvaloya where you will change clothes and footwear before hopping aboard the sleds. The huskies pull you over the frozen landscape past stunning views of the ocean, mountains and open plateaus. During the polar night, the only light you'll see will come from your headlamps, the uniquely Nordic starry sky, and perhaps, the magical Northern Lights. You are invited into a lavvo with an open fire for a hot drink.
