Scenery and Huskies, Tromsø

This shore excursion starts at the Tromso Wilderness Centre on Kvaloya Island, a scenic area with views of the ocean and mountains.

Greet 250 happy huskies

Here you will meet more than 250 huskies and puppies, and be given an introduction to dog sled driving and learn about the world's longest dog sled race -- the Iditarod, presented through unique pictures and film illustrating how hard the race is on the dogs and mushers.

It's important to wear good footwear if you want to join the Wilderness Centre's guide in exploring the plant and bird life around the centre before meeting back in the lavvo for a hot drink and cake.
