TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Pre-booked excursions must be made by four weeks prior to departure.


Registration: With the Tour Leader on board. Please note the registration deadlines, which are published on board. Please be aware of the period during which the excursion is available and also whether the sailing is northbound or southbound.


Discounts: 25% for children 4-15 years old.
Disabled people: Unfortunately, our excursions are not suitable for disabled people.

Save 5% when you pre-book your excursions!


Physically demanding: None of our excursions are particularly physically demanding, but they may on occasion involve climbing stairs or walking a fair distance. If you are in doubt as to whether a particular excursion is suitable for you, please consult the Tour Leader on board before making the booking. Please also see levels for each excursion.


Time/duration: All given times are approximate. It may be necessary to make alterations to the program following changes to our timetables. Precise times will be available on board. It is recommended to bring something to drink and some snacks on the longer excursions.


Clothing: Practical, warm and windproof clothing, as well as sturdy footwear are recommended for the excursions. (Suitable clothing is provided on the sea rafting, dog sledding and scooter trips).
Check list: Bring binoculars, camera, film and batteries.


Meals: If the duration of the excursion exceeds the mealtime on board, the meal will be served before or after the excursion if other information is not given. Some excursions have breakfast, lunch or dinner included.


Conditions: All excursions are subject to local weather/ice conditions as well as minimum/maximum numbers of participants. Some excursions are not available on official public holidays. Contact the Tour Leader on board for more information.


Cancellation: If an excursion is cancelled due to weather conditions or an insufficient number of participants, we reserve the right to provide notification of this at any point prior to the time of departure of the tour in question.


Refunds: Will not normally be given for excursion tickets. If an excursion is cancelled due to the weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances the price of the excursion will be refunded on board. Liability: Hurtigruten ASA is bonded by the Reisegarantifondet. (Travel Packages Act).

Contractual terms and conditions - shore excursions The carrier reserves the right to cancel excursions if there are an insufficient number of participants and to make changes to the program. Programs and prices are subject to change during the sales period. If the excursion passenger suffers injury to his person or damage to his property, the carrier shall be liable to pay compensation under the applicable compensation scheme provided the loss or damage is due to the carrier or someone for whom he is liable under the rules of chapter 2 of the Norwegian Damages Act of 16 June 1969 No. 26. The carrier shall not be liable for loss or damage that occurs during the excursion unless liability can be based upon inadequate supervision or exposure of the passenger to unnecessary risk without the passenger's knowledge. Any disputes shall be resolved under Norwegian law before a Norwegian court.

Some excursions are running at the same time of the day, therefore they cannot be booked in combination with each other unless indicated. Please contact the Tour Leader on board for further information.

During the season some new excursions will be available. Please ask the Tour Leader on board for further information.

We cannot accept responsibility for printing errors and reserve the right to make changes without prior notice.

Pre-booked excursion prices are set at a fixed exchange rate. All excursions purchased onboard will be made in NOK (Norwegian kroner).
