Details

Meet your guide at Torvik harbour and after a short safety briefing you’ll put on your flotation suit and depart for Runde harbour. Here you will be given information about the island and its wildlife. You then continue to the bird cliff that is situated on the north east side of the island, home to more than 500.000 seabirds. Amongst them are Atlantic puffins, black-legged kittiwakes and guillemots. This is the largest sea bird colony in Scandinavia. Weather depending you may have the opportunity to enter some of the many caves in the mountains here. The next stop will be at the north side of the island where you will see the light house and hear the story of the Runde treasure and the Akerendam sailing boat. Next, we visit the seal colony on Grasøyane, before heading back to Ålesund. On the way back you will see the beautiful Sunnmøre Alps.
