1893 and Richard With
Hurtigruten is proud of its history that dates back to pioneer and sea captain Richard With, who in 1893 established a regular steam ship service to link northern and southern Norway. In that year, the steamship DS Vesteraalen and Richard With left Trondheim bound for Hammerfest. “1893” celebrates this history and recognises the importance of our guests as true ambassadors for Hurtigruten.
