Join us as we go in search of Kodiak Island’s most famous yet elusive inhabitant, the Kodiak brown bear.
  • Enjoy an exhilarating small boat cruise to the lush and rugged shores of Kodiak Island.

  • Look out for some of the 3,500 Kodiak brown bears that live on the island.

  • With luck, witness these powerful predators in their natural environment from the safety of our boats.


Bear Country 

We’ll head along Kodiak’s lush shoreline aboard our small expedition boats, scouting for some of the 3,500 brown bears that live here among the spruce forests and grasslands. 

Admire the rugged, verdant views as we search for these powerful creatures from the safety of our boats. Seeing some of the elusive bears offers a rare glimpse into their lives in the remote and rugged Alaskan wilderness.

  • Remarks/requirements: Please dress according to the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. 

  • Walking or Activity information: Involves limited physical activity. Most of the tour is conducted by vehicle.
