History of Fjällbacka
Hiking with breathtaking views
Meeting locals
Traditional Swedish ‘fika’
This tour begins by meeting your local guide at the pier. The guide will take you on an adventure up the stairs, through the huge ‘Kungsklyftan’ gorge, named by King Oscar II in 1887, and up another staircase to the top of ‘Vetteberget’. On a clear day, you can see the southeast end of Norway from here. The view is breathtaking! The area is safe. Good shoes and full mobility are needed—the walk is not suited for people with reduced mobility. A bottle of water is nice to have once you’ve scaled the mountain.
After a stroll eastward, over the mountain, the tour heads downhill through small woodlands. The path ends at the local museum. Guests will be greeted by locals serving traditional Swedish fika, with tea/coffee and home baked cinnamon rolls/cookies.
After the coffee break, the tour guide will take you back to the pier.
