  • Enjoy a scenic boat tour that takes you past the islands and mountains around the Lofoten Islands.

  • Sail into the Trollfjord and see if your Norwegian Coastal Express ship can make an impressive 180° turn.

  • Watch for sea eagles, gulls, and other birds dive and feed on fish near your boat.

  • You may also see whales, porpoises, basking sharks, and seals.

A smaller boat will meet your ship at sea for a tour through Lofoten’s fjords, past islands and mountains, and then continuing to the Trollfjord. Along the way, keep an eye out for sea eagles in the sky, whales in the water, and seals on the shores.

The Trollfjord is only about 1.5 miles in length, but has steep, dramatic mountainsides. Your Norwegian Coastal Express ship may also visit the fjord by squeezing through the entrance, which is only 110 yards wide! From aboard your boat, you’ll have the perfect perspective to observe the ship turning 180° on the spot to maneuver back out of the fjord.

When we leave the Trollfjord, we’ll start to attract the surrounding birds with fish. Gulls will dive for fish right from your hand, while sea eagles circle the boat a few times first. By throwing the fish into the sea, you’ll have the chance to capture awe-inspiring photos of Northern Europe’s largest eagle as they flex their over–8-foot wingspan to swoop in and grab a meal with their powerful talons.
