Departing from the pier, you'll pass the downtown area of Coquimbo, heading to the beaches and to the town of La Herradura at Guayacan bay. Famous historical characters such as Sir Francis Drake and others are part of La Herradura’s legendary history.
After a stop for taking photographs and passing through the fishing town of Peñuelas, the tour proceeds to La Serena, At the Archeological Museum you'll see artifacts of the Diaguita and Molle cultures, and even an original moai statue from Easter Island. Then, you'll walk one block to the La Recova handicraft market to admire papaya products, handicrafts in lapis lazuli and combarbalita (semi-precious stones), pottery and ceramic with Diaguita motifs, and articles made from alpaca wool.
You'll view fantastic landscapes during a drive on the Pan-American Highway before you return to Coquimbo and the pier.
