On this tour you will visit the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac, 19 miles south of Lima. Pachacamac was a pilgrimage site for many cultures that developed in ancient Peru. It was built using adobe with views to the sea and the Lurín River valley.
Upon the arrival of the Incas, the complex become an administrative center, respecting and adapting the constructions. You’ll see the Temple of the Sun, the Acllahuasi, the Palace of Taurichumbi, and the Pilgrimage Plaza, among other stuctures. You will also visit the Site Museum to gain better insight and more fully appreciate the salvaged remnants of the area.
We will continue with lunch at Los Ficus Farm located in the Lurín River valley (21 miles from Lima), where you will enjoy a homemade lunch and an exhibition of Peruvian horses. On your way back, you will stop at Dedalo, a sophisticated handicraft gallery in Barranco, that offers masterpieces by Peruvian designers.
