Dog sledding in Longyearbyen
A local guide will meet the group at the harbor, and you will head out of Longyearbyen toward the dog yard. At the dog yard you will receive an introduction to dog sledding before you help harness the dogs. Now the real fun begins!
Three guests will share each specially-made wheeled sled, with eight eager huskies pulling the sled. Participants will have the opportunity to drive the sled, and/or enjoy the incredible scenery as a passenger.
During this time of the year, we may see rich birdlife, Svalbard reindeer, and the colorful flowers of the Arctic tundra. The length of the trip is about 2 miles.
