Embark on an adventure to a hidden cave that is protected from the elements, which allows the ice to form amazing shapes and colors.
You'll be driven to the dog yard, which is located approximately 7 miles from Longyearbyen. Each sled will carry two guests, and you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the ride as a passenger and try mushing for yourself.
The group will stop at a beautiful ice cave hidden within a glacier, and explore the cave while the dogs have a rest. During the summer the ice cave is a bubbling, meltwater river, and you'll be able to see how the water has cut a deep path through the ancient ice, leaving beautiful formations in the ice that has been here for millennia.
After seeing the dogs work hard to make their way onto the glacier, the dogs now run effortlessly downhill. During the last stage before the dog yard you'll hold a steady pace, and there will be time to enjoy the glorious untouched wilderness and let the day's experiences sink in.
