Having been briefed and equipped, we head out of Longyearbyen and towards the East coast of Spitsbergen. The trip takes you through the characteristic natural beauty of Svalbard, over wide plains and narrow valleys. We make plenty of stops underway - to admire the scenery, to give information on the local history, or simply turn off our engines and enjoy the silence of the white wilderness.
After a few hours we arrive at Storfjorden which is often covered by ice. Far away we can catch a glimpse of Edgeøya. Perhaps we'll also see The King of The Arctic out on the ice. Typically, we choose a different route home, taking you across other glaciers and through other valleys.
