Radisson Blu Polar Hotel

Stay at the world’s northernmost full service hotel in the heart of Longyearbyen.

From your table at Restaurant Nansen you can enjoy the panoramic view towards the majestic mountain Hiorthfjellet accompanied by an excellent Arctic menu and a good selection of wines.

The World's Northernmost fullservice Hotel

The hotel was completed in March 1995 after a wing from the former Tråseth Hotel, The Americans’ sponsor hotel during the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics, which was transported to Svalbard.

The service section containing the restaurant and lobby was designed by the Polish architect Krystjan Dolatowski. His inspiration taken from Hiorthfjellet gave rise to the design of the high ceiling, giving the restaurant an almost sacral atmosphere with mountains greeting you as you walk into the room.

The hotel has 95 rooms whereof 67 standard rooms, 27 junior suites (four-bed rooms) and 1 suite. All rooms are well equipped with on-suite, TV, coffee machine and mini bar.
